Reason for abandonment: the former President, Goodluck Jonathan said the political difference he had with former Governor of Bayelsa state Timipre Sylva had to do with the abandoned hotel project. The Project was also initially awarded for 8 billion naira and former Governor, Timpre Sylva paid 6 billion to the contractor at a point. The committee declared that the cost of the project was 13.9 billion naira
